Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low-cost airline based in the United States. With 57 destinations throughout the Americas, their biggest hub is Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Although Spirit Airlines was originally founded in Michigan as a trucking company they later got into aviation and transferred their head office to Florida in 1999.

Spirit Airlines Hubs & Crew Bases

Spirit’s flight attendants and pilots are not all based in one location.

The main Spirit Airlines hub is Fort Lauderdale and that’s one of three crew bases in Florida.

The other two are at Miami International Airport and Orlando.

So it’s clear, Spirit Airlines’ spiritual home is in Florida but they have operations across the US. See what I did there? 🙂

Here’s a map of the current Spirit locations.

The Spirit Airlines hubs are located in :

  • Atlanta (ATL)
  • Atlantic City (ACY)
