TSA Passenger Count: All The 2020 Numbers & Travel Statistics
Many in the travel industry are anxiously wondering when business will return to normal.
The TSA has been publishing passenger checkpoint travel numbers that help assess the impact of COVID-19 on the travel industry.
We charted the TSA traveler numbers data so you can see a year on year comparison. We also included the daily new cases of COVID-19 in the United States.

The data shows that although progress is slow the number of people flying is increasing.
On a normal day over 2 million passengers go through the TSA security checkpoints. These are not normal days.
Passengers are returning to the airports but we are unlikely to see passenger numbers back in the millions until the rate of new infections drops significantly.
